Elizabeth was born at 6:28 p.m. on January 6, weighing 8 lbs 0 oz, measuring 21.5 inches long.  The induction didn't begin until around 11:30 a.m., so really it was only a 7 hour labor.  We are all doing fine and hope to leave the hospital this evening around 7:30 or so.  Amanda is coming to meet her little sister later this morning.  

Little Sister Is Almost Here

Amanda hopped into her little sister's bassinet as soon as we got it set up.  I am still not sure whether she really understands that a new little baby will be coming to live with us. And she will be here sooner than we thought.  I am being induced tomorrow morning beginning at 6:00 a.m., so hopefully she will be here by mid-afternoon.  Say a prayer, or light a candle, or drink a margarita for us tomorrow.  We will try to post a picture tomorrow night or Wednesday morning.

Well today, January 3, is my due date. I'm not in labor. Currently I have an induction scheduled for January 12, but I'm thinking of moving it up to the 8th. I am not sure I can gestate until the 12th. Pregnancy is getting really old at this point. We will keep you informed.

Here is the fourth picture in my fourth picture folder:

This is a picture of mine and Brian's apartment in New York City. This picture shows the kitchen, the door to the bathroom (yes, it is adjacent to the kitchen), the dining area, and part of the living area. We have such fond memories of this place. Our lives are a lot different now, but some things are still the same. We are still using the table as our dining table; we still use the big china cabinet; and we still prominently display the painting, which we bought on our honeymoon.

So, I will tag: Jen, Kimmy, Megan, and Suzanne. PS Don't feel obligated to participate. It sounded kind of fun to me, but if it isn't your thing, just ignore this.
