New Year! Haven't posted since late October! Not gonna dwell on it. Here are some of the big events of 2014 and early 2015 that I missed:
The Babies' Baptism. What a special day! I think it was during this communal service that it really began to sink in that my family has become *that* family. You know the one: it dominates whatever situation it finds itself in, both in number and in decibel levels. All the other families were quietly sitting in their single row, with their sleeping angel babies. We took up four rows. Colin and J.J. behaved beautifully, but the rest of us were so rowdy we had to be quieted by Father Jay so he could get started. I have to admit, though I never imagined that I would someday be *that* family, I'm loving every minute of it.
In the baptismal
J.J. with his godparents, Michael and Melissa Hamilton and Connor and Mindy Riseden
Colin with his godparents, Kelly and Kyle Barsch and Claire and Carl Iverson, and god siblings (that's a thing, right?)!
Amanda's 8th Birthday
Can't believe I have an eight year old, but there she is, and she's mine, so I guess I do! Isn't she amazing? We sure think so.
Oops, skipped Halloween
.
Annual photo shoot with the Iversons, proud to say it's continued despite not living around the block anymore
Thanksgiving!
We went the farm for Thanksgiving. "The Farm" being Jeremy's family's farm. It is sprawling and picturesque and filled with loving folks. The perfect way to spend Thanksgiving.
Where are those photos, though??? Don't know....
Christmas
Yes, I have more photos than this, but babies in elf pajamas ought to say it all...
Elizabeth's Birthday
These are photos of a Halloween party, not her birthday party, but I can't find the birthday party photos in my feed, so don't tell her, mmmkay?
And besides, hula hooping and singing karaoke at the same time, yep, that's our Elizabeth. Six Years Old!
Colin's Cochlear Implant Surgery
This kid is a stud; there's no way around it. Total, complete badass.
Mom, don't worry, I got this.
Has anyone ever looked so good in a hospital gown?
Or been as charming with the nurses?
Not quite as charming afterwards, but can you blame him?
Post surgery nap.
Home that afternoon
Kicking butt with his brother within 24 hours.
And we're caught up! That wasn't too hard. Colin's implant will get activated in two weeks. Expect a post on that. Maybe soon after the appointment, maybe not. I'm nothing if not totally inconsistent.

I'm just now checking on your blog for the first time in far too long. So many things to say about this post, but so happy that JJ's surgery went well. And I know they are identical twins, but JJ looks exactly like Amanda - the same expressions and everything.
I meant Colin in both statements. Gees, sorry for mixing them up. :-(
